EV Battery Health, Warranty and Car Valuation

An EV badge and registration year do not tell the whole story. The exact battery, remaining warranty, charging behaviour and overall condition help a buyer identify the car and its likely market.

Identify the exact battery and version

Tell us the model variant, battery or usable capacity if known, drivetrain and any important option pack. Two cars registered in the same year can have different range, charging capability and market demand.

The registration is the starting point, but imported cars and mid-year specification changes can need extra checking. A screenshot from the vehicle information screen can help when the exact version is unclear.

Useful evidence is better than a guessed health figure

A manufacturer battery-health report, diagnostic result or recent range information can be useful if you already have it. You do not need to buy a battery report just to request our first valuation.

Describe warnings, charging faults or a material change in range honestly. Weather, speed, heating and driving style affect the range shown on a particular trip, so one dashboard number is not a complete battery diagnosis.

Warranty and handover details matter

Check the manufacturer’s warranty terms for the specific car, including its first-registration date and mileage. Do not assume every battery warranty is identical or transferable on the same terms.

Have all charging cables, adapters, key cards and app access ready. Remove the car from your personal account only at the correct stage of handover, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
