Give Me The Reg is a trading name of Belgard Sales Ltd (CRN 515296). Belgard Sales Ltd is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website.

Information we collect

When you request a valuation, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, county, vehicle registration, make, model, year, mileage, number of keys, condition, NCT status, service history, descriptions of damage or faults, comments and uploaded photographs. We may also collect vehicle information returned by our registration-lookup provider and essential technical or security information needed to operate the website.

Why we use it

We use this information to identify and value the vehicle, contact you about the request, arrange an inspection or purchase, keep appropriate transaction records, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. Our primary legal bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating a secure vehicle-buying service.

Who receives it?

Information is available only to authorised staff and service providers who help us host, secure or operate the service. We may share relevant information with vehicle-history, finance, transport or government services where necessary to assess or complete a purchase, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Unsuccessful valuation requests are retained only as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, service records, fraud prevention and legal claims. Completed-sale records may be kept for longer where tax, accounting, motor-trade or legal rules require it.

Advertising cookies and your choice

With your permission, we load a Google Ads tag to measure visits and completed valuation requests from our advertising. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page visited and advertising click identifiers. Advertising cookies are optional and are not loaded before you accept. Declining does not affect your ability to request a valuation.

We keep advertising personalisation and user-provided-data collection disabled. When a valuation request is successfully received, we send a conversion event with a generated reference to help avoid duplicate counting. That reference does not contain your registration or contact details. We do not send your valuation form details, vehicle registration or photographs to Google through this tag. Google processes measurement information under its own privacy policy, which explains its processing and international transfers.

We remember your cookie choice on this device for up to 180 days using local storage. This preference is necessary to respect your choice. Google Ads may use cookies beginning with _gcl_ for advertising measurement. You can accept, decline or withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops future measurement after the page reloads and clears accessible Google Ads measurement cookies from our domain; it does not undo information already sent.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
